Life may come at us hard, but God is greater than anything we face

Life may come at us hard, but God is greater than anything we face

“And Asa cried out to the Lord his God, and said, ‘Lord, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O Lord our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude, O Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!'”   ~ 2 Chronicles 15:2

In Your name, Lord, we face the hardships of life. We go against the multitude, the obstacles, the fears and doubts — in Your name! For Your Name is above all names. At the mention of Your name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that You are Lord. In Your name all authority is given for Your child who believes.

I believe Lord. Help my unbelief! Strengthen the belief and faith of these, my friends who face impossible situations, yet know that with You all things are possible — yes, ALL things … in Your Name. Not mine.

You are teaching me to yield to Your promptings, to surrender my will to You in full trust knowing that You would never lead me astray. I’m so thankful for that knowledge. Make me courageous Lord — courageous and confident in my walk with You.

For those who are are troubled today or struggling with the hardships of life, I bring them before Your throne of grace. As we bow together before You, I ask that You touch them by the power of Your Holy Spirit.

Anoint them with power to do those things You ask of them. Anoint them with joy to laugh at life’s absurdities. And anoint them with the peace that passes all understanding, knowing that You are with them and You are for them, therefore who can dare to be against them?

Open their eyes that they might see You working in their midst.

You are a great God! Mighty in power, tender in love, faithful in mercy. We worship You Lord for You alone are worthy to be praised. May we never forget that You are the One True God, that there is no one like You. You are amazing and we love You with our whole hearts.

In Jesus’ Name I pray,

Please don’t carry your burdens alone. I would be honored to pray for you.

Have you had a chance to read Faith Notes ~ Lisa Anne Tindal: Finding God in Quiet Confidence?

A few months ago the Lord, in His goodness, crossed my path with Lisa Tindal. We found each other on Twitter and although we haven’t become bosom buddies, I am clearly drawn to her deep searching soul — one that seeks and finds the tender care of God in the mundane as well as in the devastated places where a fallen world wreaks havoc. Lisa is precious. In fact, each time I think of her, precious is the word the Lord gives me.
