God is the lifter of my head when I grow weary.

God is the lifter of my head when I grow weary.

You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. ~ Psalm 3:3-4

Lord, You are my Helper. My Keeper. My Waymaker. You are with me wherever I go and for that I am grateful. I have no need of fear of the unknown because my tomorrows are held in Your hand. I humbly give my tomorrows to You because the burden is too great to carry.

I will be strong and courageous because You are with me.

I will be sure-footed because You direct my path.

And on those days my confidence and courage slip — those days when doubt messes with my head — on those days I will look to You. I will trust You to undergird me and lift up my head to behold my miracle.

For You are faithful Lord and You are good.

You are the lifter of my head.

I ask that You lift those around me who are heavy-laden with burdens they were not created to carry. Open their ears to hear You calling them to come to You so that You may give them rest.

Bathe them in Your grace.

Anoint them with the peace that passes all understanding.

Awaken their hearts to grasp the understanding that You really are with them just as You promised.

They are not alone.

And neither am I.

And together with You on our side, we can move mountains. We can leap over walls. And we can overcome the darkness, bringing whatever assaults us into Your marvelous Light.

Thank You Lord. You are beyond wonderful.

In Jesus’ Name I pray,

Please don’t carry your burdens alone. I would be honored to pray with you.
