“For I hold you by your right hand — I the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.'” ~ Isaiah 41:13, NLT
Lord, my righteousness is found in You — my hope, my peace. In Your Presence I find comfort and strength — I know I am not alone. It boggles the mind to think that the Creator of the Universe knows my name and searches my heart that He might know me.
This is beyond understanding, yet I know it to be true.
Sometimes just the touch of Your hand is all I need to know everything will be okay. I speak Your Name — Jesus … Jesus — and You come alongside me, taking my hand in Yours and leading me away from the treacherous path. You lift me and carry me over the turbulent waters. You hoist me onto the Rock high above the enemy’s tactics and keep me safe.
Thank You, Father.
It seems that today, like never before, we must have tenacity in our faith — faith that won’t give up, faith that grows stronger because of the storm, not weaker.
There is no easy road and the enemy is relentless in his tactics to get us off course, to discourage us into wanting to give up on whatever it is You have called us to.
But YOU are our Strength.
You tell us not to grow weary in doing good because, in Your perfect timing, we WILL reap if we don’t give up. Teach us to grit our teeth and stare the enemy down with stubborn tenacity daring him to mess with us.
We are washed in Your precious blood, and Satan has no authority over us. You created us to be the head and not the tail. You have called us sons and daughters of the Most High God.
Just who does that scoundrel think he is?!
Lord, as we press our hand to the plow, I ask that You would place Your hand over ours strengthening its grip, taking the lead as we yield to You. You have made us to be more than conquerors, victorious in all things because of You and Your abiding presence.
Renew the tenacity You have placed in Your children to stand strong in a fallen world.
Anoint us with boldness to do Your will.
Make us brave in the face of adversity.
Give us wisdom and discernment to make wise decisions.
Renew us with tenacious faith that will never give up and refuses to listen to the lies of the enemy — relentless faith that will never cower in the face of the enemy because we recognize him in the battle and understand his schemes.
Make us warriors, Lord — warriors for You.
Tenacious in our faith.
In Jesus’ Name I pray,
Amen
