“One day Jesus told His disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. ‘There was a judge in a certain city,” He said, “who neither feared God nor cared about people. A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, “Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.” The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, “I don’t fear God or care about people, but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’”
“Then the Lord said, ‘Learn a lesson from this unjust judge. Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to His chosen people who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? I tell you, He will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will He find on the earth who have faith?’” ~ Luke 18:1-8, NLT
“But the Lord shall endure forever;
He has prepared His throne for judgment.
He shall judge the world in righteousness,
And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness.
“The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
A refuge in times of trouble.
And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.” ~ Psalm 9:7-10, NKJV
“He uncovers deep things out of darkness,
And brings the shadow of death to light.” ~ Job 12:22, NKJV
“Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
Blessed are all those who wait for Him.” ~ Isaiah 30:18, NKJV
My Heart Aches for My Beloved America
Almighty God, You are Truth, therefore You will always reveal Truth. You are righteous, holy, and sovereign, and You are the God of Justice — under Your Rule, justice will be upheld.
Yet, darkness is consuming the earth. What was good is now called evil and what was evil is now called good. The depravity of mankind is blatant with its arrogance … Lord, I could go on and on!
My heart aches for my beloved America. My mind races with thoughts not of You, so I will make a choice … with Your help, I will determine in my heart to look to You and not focus on the chaos of darkness.
Yes, Lord, I will wait for You.
In the waiting, I will be strengthened to stand firm in these days, to keep my eyes on You. In the place of waiting my heart will remain in peace. For You are the Great King and all of creation is held in Your hands. There is no need to fear the coming days because You go before me into my tomorrows, leading me, caring for me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Guard my heart against anger that is not righteous, but embolden me with Your righteous anger that lights a fire within me to speak Your Truth in love. You are the God of all Truth, the God of Justice — let it be known. You will not be mocked.
God of Justice, You Are My Living Hope
I rebuke the spirit of deception that is consuming the hearts and minds of people in these days. I rebuke you, Satan, in the Name of Jesus. I take authority over you and bind you according to the Word of God. Holy Spirit, open the eyes of hearts across this land to recognize Truth, to seek Truth, and heal our land. Open eyes to see beyond political parties and recognize the evil that has been unleashed.
This is not a political war — this is a spiritual war for our beloved America where once conservatives and liberals stood side by side, hand in hand with respect for one another. That’s what made America great, Lord! My heart grieves for what she has become. Restore us, Lord. Heal our land.
You are the Prince of peace, the God of Justice and righteousness. In You, I place my trust … You are my living hope. I will wait for You, Lord.
Yes, on my knees, I will wait for You.
In Jesus’s Name, I pray,
Amen ~ let it be so
