I raised the window to let in the fresh morning air. The sound of worship filled my quiet space where I meet with Jesus each morning. The singers and instruments were in Jerusalem near the Mount of Olives. Their song evolved into, “Yeshua, Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the power, Yours is the glory forever, amen. Yeshua … “
I joined in worship and let my thoughts focus on Jesus, the Savior of my soul. Tension released and peace steadied my heart.
How Magnificent is Our God!
From the old apple tree, I heard a song, loud and clear. A group of goldfinches graced the branches, lush with new spring leaves. From their bellies, praise rang out. Pure. Beautiful. Without a doubt, my feathered friends had joined the chorus of praise to their Creator.
This touched my soul, awakening my heart to the wonder of our God. Oh, how magnificent He is!
Fog had rolled in with the morning light, but even the cloud cover — the oyster gray veil — could not obliterate the glory of the dawn. Light filtered through the trees and shone on the tiny yellow chorus outside my window.

My heart stirred … Pour out Your Spirit and revive us, O Lord. Your people are weary and heavy-laden. But You, O Lord, are with us. You are for us and not against us. From the rising of the sun until its setting, I will give You praise. Your peace is precious to me.
“Yeshua, Yeshua … Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the power, Yours is the glory forever, amen. Yeshua … Yeshua … “
Yeshua. God’s Only Begotten Son
That’s the bottom line, isn’t it? Yeshua. Jesus. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believed in Him would not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus came to save the world. Jesus came to bridge the gap between a holy God and us, a sinful people. Jesus came so we might know our Father’s love and have peace.
“Peace. Not as the world gives but as I give,” saith the Lord.
