Our unfailing love, Lord, will never walk away

ADVENT: LOVE

Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
Your justice like the ocean depths.
You care for people and animals alike, O Lord.
How precious is Your unfailing love, O God!
All humanity finds shelter
in the shadow of Your wings.
You feed them from the abundance of Your own house,
letting them drink from Your river of delights.
For You are the fountain of life,
the light by which we see.” ~ Psalm 36:5-9, NLT

“For even if the mountains walk away
and the hills fall to pieces,
My love won’t walk away from you,
My covenant commitment of peace won’t fall apart.”
The God who has compassion on you says so.” ~ Isaiah 54:10, MSG

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? …

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ~ Romans 8:35, 38-39, NLT

Your Unfailing Love Sustains Me, Lord

Lord, O Lord, You are Jehovah tsidkenu — the Lord my righteousness. Without You, there is no righteousness. Without You there is no redemption, no cleansing of the heart to prepare room for Your indwelling Holy Spirit. You are my Abba Father whose unfailing love will never walk away from me.

Be born in me, Lord. Make my heart Your Bethlehem.

Be born in me, Lord. I need Your unfailing love

Your Secret Place — that place near to Your heart, that place away from the trouble of the world where I can rest alone in You, calls to me. Beneath the shadow of Your wings, I am comforted. You steady my heart and calm my restless thoughts. There, in the warmth of Your embrace, Your unfailing love washes over me. I become as a child in her daddy’s arms and I know that I am loved with an everlasting love.

Nothing can ever separate me from Your love. I know this. I believe this. But some days life tries to consume me and I am blinded by tears of anguish. The flaming arrows of the enemy threaten me, and whisper lies of my unworthiness before You. But then You, O Lord… then You rise up and say, “Enough! ” and the enemy scampers back into the shadows and the light of Your glory falls upon me and I am helped.

You are with me, Lord. I am not alone.

You are with me, Lord. I am not alone.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but You promise to deliver us out of them all. You promise that absolutely nothing will separate us from Your unfailing love. I know many of Your children who feel as though the gates of hell have come against them and they are simply worn out.

But You, O Lord — You are our Deliverer. Deliver us from the snare of the fowler. Surround us with Your ministering angels, and shield us from the enemy.

I Am amazed that Your love will never walk out on me

Set us free Lord. Set us free to worship You. Break the chains that bind us, in Jesus’s Name, and bring healing to our broken places. You are our Healer. Our Deliverer. Our Refuge in the storm.

How precious is Your unfailing love! Your love will never walk out on us — Your love will never walk out on me. Your covenant promise of peace will never end.

In Jesus’s Name, I pray,

Amen ~ let it be so
