Clinging to the Lord is like finding a sure place in the dark of night.
Clinging to the Lord is like finding a sure place in the dark of night.

” … therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days … ” ~ Deuteronomy 30:19-20

Lord, You are my Lord and King! You orchestrate the days in my life, putting all the pieces together. Everything, when placed in Your hands, work together for my good because I love You and I have been called according to Your purposes.

I am clinging to You with everything I have. Please help me endure these trials.

You have proven Your faithfulness to me many times over — I have no doubts about this truth.

But I am weary, Lord. The struggle is real. The battles are fierce and I feel my fingers slipping from Your grasp.

Clinging to the Lord is based on Truth, not feelings.
Clinging to the Lord is based on Truth, not feelings.

Oh, wait!

Your grasp is secure.

Your love will never fail me. You hold me by Your mighty right hand — tight, secure — and although I feel I am slipping from Your grasp, I know in my knower that You will never let me go.

Feelings have no intellect and they don’t determine truth, so even if it feels like my fingers are slipping, Your truth tells me they are not.

For nothing can separate me from Your love. I know that You will never let me go.

Bless You, Lord.

Clinging to the Lord will infuse us with His strength to endure fiery trials.
Clinging to the Lord will infuse us with His strength to endure fiery trials.

Draw me closer, Lord. Help me stand firm against the work of the enemy. Infuse me with Your strength to weather these relentless storms.

Let me know the power of Your grasp intertwining my fingers with Yours.

You are my courage.

You are my peace.

You are my strength and will strengthen my grip as I cling to You.

I can feel the touch of Your hand, Lord. It’s tender, but strong — oh, so strong. I feel safe again. I no longer feel alone in my difficult places. You are with me just as You promised.

I love You, Lord, with everything I am.

In Jesus’ Name I pray,

Amen
