“For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised.” ~ Hebrews 10:36, AMP
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.” ~ Hebrews 12:1-2a, NLT
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” ~ James 1:12, NIV
Help Me Hold Fast to Your Promises, Lord
Lord, great is Your faithfulness. Your mercies are new every morning — available, given freely with abundance. This I know. This I believe. Help me hold fast to this promise so that I might press on with patient endurance.
The fires of trial have been fierce lately. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but You promise to deliver us out of them all.
And You do. And You will continue to do so.
I ask that You strengthen me, Lord. LIft my chin and gently tilt my head so that I might look up and behold Your glory. I will look to the hills — to the mountain of God — from whence comes my help. My help comes from You, Lord, Maker of heaven and earth.
You know my coming-ins and my going-outs. You search my heart and know my anxious thoughts, and You speak peace over me. Help me strip away every weight, every burden, and every sin that slows me down so I might run my race with the patient endurance You are offering me.
I want to honor You with my life. I want others to see Jesus in me, especially in the difficult places when my flesh wants to rear its ugly head. I know that as I keep my eyes on You, You will empower me to run my race with endurance — to complete the purposes You have chosen for me.
It is You, Lord, Who Gives Me Patient Endurance
Oh, how I long to hear, “Well done, My good and faithful servant … well done.” With Your help, I will run my race well. Thank You, Lord. I love You.
In Jesus’ Name, I pray,
Amen ~ let it be so

Sweet blessings to you,
Thank God for that timely message “Help Me Press On….!! I know that you have heard this numerous times, but truly as I read it, it ministered to my aching heart. God had given me sometime ago Hebrews 10:35. We press on by the grace of God and not by might nor power, but by and only through His Spirit. Blessings to you dear sister. May God continue to pour His grace and wisdom upon you.
Oh, Grace, you have no idea how much your kind words ministered to my heart. Thank you for taking time to let me know you were touched. To God be the glory! I pray before and during the writing of each blog post, asking the Lord to meet the needs of my readers, and to draw those to the post that need to speak with the Lord about a particular issue. Walking by faith can be difficult, and yet, the Lord makes Himself known and strengthens us for this arduous journey. Thank you for your blessing. I receive it, in Jesus’ Name. Sweet blessing to you as well, Nan
