“‘O our God … we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.’ … Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s … You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.’” ~ 2 Chronicles 20:12,15,17, NKJV
I Don’t Know What to Do, But My Eyes Are on You, Lord
Lord, many are the afflictions of the righteous, but You have promised to deliver us out of them all. When I don’t know what to do, teach me to place my eyes on You — the Savior of my soul, the Almighty God, and my good, good Father.
I choose to trust You. I stand on the promises of Your Word — the promise to hear me when I cry out to You, the promise that You have plans and a future of hope for me … the promise that what was meant for evil against my loved one will be used for good.
The promise that You are our peace in the chaos and our Light in the darkness.

Bless You, Lord.
I must confess that my spirit is strong in these beliefs, but my flesh waivers as I watch the implosion of a young life dear to my heart.
Bring my thoughts captive to You, Lord. When my mind is stayed on You I am kept in perfect peace — not the peace the world gives, but the peace that can only come from Your hand and Your heart.
I choose to praise You. When I don’t know what to do, I will give thanks for You are faithful. I will offer up words of adoration. I will offer up words of proclamation for who You are — my Redeemer, my Deliverer, my Peace, my Hope … my Friend who will never leave my side.
In my anguish over circumstances beyond my control — when I don’t know what to do — I will speak Your Name, “Jesus.” Everything that has breath must bow at the mention of Your Name, even the enemy of my soul and of my family — the prince of the air, the principalities of darkness.
We Don’t Know What to do, But We Know the One Who Does
I rebuke you, Satan, in the Name of Jesus. I plead the blood of Jesus over my family, my community, my nation and I remind you that where the Blood is applied you have no dominion, no authority. We will not cower to your tactics but will, instead, rise up beneath Jehovah Nissi — the Lord our banner. We will rally in His Name and defeat you by the blood of the Lamb and words of our testimony.
We are one nation under God! We are one people, one heart calling upon our Lord to save us. We don’t know what to do, but we know the One who does.
And will.
In Jesus’s Name I pray,
Amen — let it be so
