By faith, the Lord allows us to feel the brush of His garment as His Presence draws near.

If it is true that you look favorably on me, let me know your ways so I may understand you more fully and continue to enjoy your favor. And remember that this nation is your very own people.”

The Lord replied, “I will personally go with you, [insert your name], and I will give you rest—everything will be fine for you.” ~ Exodus 33:13-14, NLT

Lord, I know You as El Elyon, the Most High God and I know You as Abba, Father, my Daddy God. The breadth of who You are is beyond my comprehension.

Oh, that we could grasp the depth of Your love!

I Want to Touch the Hem of His Garment and Be Strengthened

In this journey of faith I need to know that I know You are with me always. Allow me to feel the brush of Your garment as I, by faith, walk hand in hand with You, as You guide me, and lead me in paths of righteousness.

By faith, I feel the brush of His garment as He comes alongside me.
By faith, I feel the brush of His garment as He comes alongside me.

Open my eyes that I might see You and behold Your glory.

Teach me to perceive and know Your delicate whisper deep within.

Awaken my heart to remember You in the wings of the wind which stir as You accompany me

— to recognize the brush of Your garment alongside me.

As I seek You first and give You priority love, let me find You in Your fullness.

Life has been coming at me hard, Lord. Many days despair overwhelms me as I desperately cling to the hope of a better tomorrow, as I wait for Your courage and strength to sustain me.

Thank You, Lord, for Your abiding Presence.
Thank You, Lord, for Your abiding Presence.

And You always do.

You always strengthen me with Your might, Your mercy, and grace. You make me brave to face the future.

There are times when I actually sense Your strong hand gently tilting my chin upwards so that I might look through tear-stained eyes into Your beautiful face.

You remind me who I am to You. You remind me of Your faithfulness.

God Draws So Near That We Become Aware of the Brush of His Garment

In those intimate times, You allow me to feel the brush of Your garment next to me as I recognize Your abiding Presence. I am not alone in my struggles. You are El Roi, my God who sees me and knows all about it. For this I am thankful … oh so thankful.

Strengthen the faint of heart. Encourage the weary travelers, Lord. We love You and trust You. We depend on You for courage to face tomorrow. Thank You for going before us on this journey.
