When He calls you to step out of the boat, He will be faithful to take care of you.

“And Peter answered Him and said, ‘Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.’ So He said, ‘Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when Peter saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!'” ~ Matthew 14: 27-30

Lord, I clearly heard You say, “Come! Step out of the boat.” And I did. I stepped out because I know that I know I can trust You. You, Lord, are faithful and true.

You are my Abba, Father — my Daddy God — who would never cause me harm. You pursue me with Your love. Your goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life.

Lord, I know these things to be true, and by faith I walk in this knowledge.

You can expect the wind to blow and the waves swell when you decide to step out of the boat.

So when I heard You call me to come, I did.

I stepped out of the boat, focused on You, and began to walk towards You on the water — in faith.

But then the wind began to blow.

And waves began to swell.

And instead of keeping my eyes focused on You, Lord, I began to think of the impossibilities of my situation and how ludicrous it was to believe that the impossible could be possible.

I began to listen to the lies of the enemy.

And I began to sink.

And I trust You.

I trust You with the impossible.

Strengthen my eyes of faith that see You before me, calling me to step out of the boat of comfort and come to You — to walk toward the prize of the high calling of Jesus Christ — to walk boldly toward that which You have called me to.

For this is the appointed time — God ordained and set apart time to meet a need in the building of Your Kingdom.

This is it.

No waves of difficulty will overcome me.

No wind will knock me off my feet.

For this is the appointed time to meet a need in the building of Your Kingdom. It’s time to step out of the boat.

You have made me more than a conqueror– an overcomer in all things because You are for me and not against me.

You are a good, good Father whose love never fails.

Thank You, Lord. Bless Your holy Name.

In Jesus’ Name I pray,

Amen
