God's ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts.

“We can demolish every deceptive [argument] that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.” ~ 2 Corinthians 10:5, TPT

“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.” ~ Romans 12:2, TPT

God’s Thoughts Are Not Our Thoughts

Lord, I’m so thankful for You. You are perfect in all your ways. Your timing can be trusted, Your purposes accomplished in Your strength. I rejoice in the knowledge of Your love.

Thank You for shining Your light in the darkness of my circumstances where I can find Your hidden, eternal purposes. I am encouraged to know You are using my brokenness for Your glory.

My spirit knows this but my flesh is battling moments of weakness.

I know when I focus my thoughts on You, You will steady my heart

Moments of debilitating fatigue. Moments when my thoughts run a muck and lead me by sight and not by faith. Moments when emotions govern my actions rather than Your sweet Holy Spirit.

Forgive me, Lord. Bring my thoughts captive to You. Renew my mind through the transforming power of Your Word.

Help me hear only You.

You have promised that You will give me strength for each of my days. I’m depending on that, Lord, because I can’t do this in my own strength.

I know when I focus my thoughts on You, You will steady my heart — You will keep me in Your perfect peace. Will You help me do that, Lord? Will You help me recognize the voice of the enemy of my soul whispering lies to me and give me the tenacity to rebuke him right then and there?

When Our Thoughts Are Stayed on God, We Find Perfect Peace

I don’t want to entertain thoughts that are not of You.

Speak Your Truth over me, Lord. Set me free from the chains that keep me bound.

And, Lord … thank You for how things are looking up for me. You are a good, good Father.

In Jesus’s Name I pray,

Amen
