Lord, You promise to go before us. The light of Your Presence and the truth of Your Word are the lamp to our footsteps, leading us forward, even through the shadows of difficult places.

You are with us always. You never leave us. You never forsake us. Bless You, Lord!

You call us to come — to sit with You in Your dwelling place. When our stubborn self-sufficiency finally surrenders, we find You again — we hear Your delicate whisper bidding us to come.

In Your Presence is fullness of joy.

In Your Presence is security, peace, and hope.

We place our hope in You, Lord. We look to You and we find our help in times of need. Even when our situation seems impossible, our hope is in You, Lord, for You have never failed us.

Teach us to trust with abandon.

Your ways are not our ways, Your thoughts are not our thoughts and Your timing is usually not our own.

But Your timing is perfect, just like You.

Help will come, because we have placed our hope in You.

Help will come because we have brought our request before You in prayer and thanksgiving.

Therefore we have hope.

Lead us into Your dwelling place where we may place our need on Your altar of amazing love knowing that, in Your great faithfulness, You will hear the cries of our hearts.

Oh why are you downcast, O my soul? The Lord our God has heard our cries and will help us!

Lord, we praise You for who You are — our Defender, our Provider, our Strength, Redeemer, Savior, and Lord.

Bathe us in Your grace as we wait. Our hope is in You for You are faithful.

We love You, Lord.
