How amazing is it that the Lord knows when wounds run deep, and stands ready to heal us when we yield to Him.
How amazing is it that the Lord knows when wounds run deep, and stands ready to heal us when we yield to Him.

But I trust in Your unfailing love. I will rejoice because You have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because He is good to me. ~ Psalm 13:5-6, NLT

Lord, Oh how I love You and praise Your holy Name, for You are a great God, a good Father. You know my coming ins and my going outs. You know my thoughts and my heart’s desires.

And You know when wounds run deep in my heart.

Search my heart, Lord, when wounds run deep, and set me free from their grip.
Search my heart, Lord, when wounds run deep, and set me free from their grip.

Search my heart now, Lord, and find those things that are not pleasing to You. Search me and know my anxious thoughts, my difficult and broken places — those wounds that will not heal.

Set me free from their grip.

Bring me to a place of forgiveness.

I cannot forgive in my own strength, but in Your strength and with Your grace I can, and I will. Somehow.

I will forgive because You require it of me and I will forgive because I cannot carry the poison of unforgiveness any longer. It lingers and infects. It seeps its darkness throughout my heart and robs me of my joy.

So, I choose love.

Your love.

I choose Your love that bears all things and hopes all things. I choose Your love that is kind and not arrogant, love that does not demand its own way, but seeks to walk in the Truth of Your Word — Your Word that requires forgiveness.

Thank You, Lord.

When wounds run deep, He promises to make something beautiful in His own time.
When wounds run deep, He promises to make something beautiful in His own time.

Soften my heart and make it pliable in Your strong hands. Mold me into a vessel for Your glory and Your honor. You know my wounds run deep, but I know You will make something beautiful of them as only You can do.

No matter how deep the wounds, Your grace is deeper still.

I trust You with my heart and I thank You for Your faithfulness towards me.

In Jesus’ Name I pray,

Amen
