For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11(NKJV)
The quiet hush of the dawn distanced itself from the harsh winds of the storm. Sunlight filtered through the leaves — morning light sparkling like diamonds midst a setting of emeralds on the old juniper.
The storm had passed.
Peace had resumed.
God’s grace, beauty, and faithfulness surrounded me. Even though my spirit grew weary — I knew His love remained.

I watched as a golden butterfly settled upon a rose and I couldn’t help but wonder, Was this butterfly frightened by the storm? Was her home tossed about by the wind and rain?
Surely her wings so strong, yet oh so gentle, felt the impact of the storm.
But, here she was, rising with confidence, revealing her beauty to the world around. The butterfly showed strength in her purpose, gentleness in her flight — the very essence of grace.
Lord, let me too, rise with confidence from the storm, revealing the colors of Your Spirit within me. Let my life radiate the essence of grace — Your grace so amazing, so sufficient.
Your grace that draws others to You.

The Lord shines His light in even the darkest places revealing such beauty we need sunglasses to see it. I love this post Nan. Keep shining for Him. I have watched you break out of that cocoon and you sure are beautiful. 🙂
