“But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head.” ~ Psalm 3:3, NKJV
“The Lord is my strength and shield.
I trust Him with all my heart.
He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.” ~ Psalm 28:7, NLT
“Above all, lift up the [protective] shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” ~ Ephesians 6:16, AMP
In What Ways Are You My Shield, Lord?
Lord, You are my light in the darkness, my Rock and the shelter of my soul. When I am afraid, I will trust in You. You are my shield Lord — this I know, but those flaming arrows have been getting close lately.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but You promise to deliver us out of them all. Help me keep my eyes on You, Lord, especially on the hard days wrought with difficult places.
Open the eyes of my heart to see Your Presence covering me as a shield to keep me safe from harm.
What a glorious thought! What a magnificent God You are! You shelter me with Your love because of Your love — love that is beyond comprehension. Thank You for allowing me to experience Your presence in tangible, life-altering ways.
When I am overwhelmed by the stress of enormous responsibility, You give me peace.
When my heart breaks with sorrow, You give me joy unspeakable.
And when I am afraid or threatened by the enemy, You are my shield Lord.
The Lord is A Very Present Help in Trouble
My shield. My faithful Protector.
The Keeper of my soul. I love You, Lord.
In the Name of Jesus I pray,
Amen — let it be so
