When your peace is disturbed, remember the Lord will never forsake you.

“God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved [shaken];
God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.” ~ Psalm 46:5, NKJV

“And now I [Paul] am going to Jerusalem, drawn there irresistibly by the Holy Spirit, not knowing what awaits me, except that the Holy Spirit has told me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead. But life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about God’s mighty kindness and love.” Acts 20:22-24, TLB

Where is God When Your Peace is Disturbed?

Lord, what a mighty God You are! All-powerful. All-knowing. All-sufficient. You are amazing. When our peace is disturbed You are the glue that holds us together — when, and if, we have built our lives around You.

You have taught me that You are the Anchor of my soul. You are the One who maintains balance for me when my world is crumbling and my faith is shaken.

You make me strong. You make me brave. As long as I keep my eyes on You, I can face tomorrow. I can accomplish what is in front of me. When my peace is disturbed by difficulties pushing from all sides, You are the center of my life and maintain a calm within me.

Nothing can separate me from Your love.

No trial big or small, has the power to take Your peace from me. You have taught me to keep my mind stayed on You, and Your peace will remain.

When You are in the midst of me — and You are — I cannot be moved. My peace cannot be disturbed … unless I let it.

My faith cannot be shaken … unless I let it.

You are the Rock on which I stand safe and secure. Lead me there when the world all around me is sinking sand, Forgive me for the times I take my eyes off of You. Forgive me for the times I listen to the lies of the enemy or entertain the wild imaginings he tempts me with, causing me to worry and fret.

When My Peace is Disturbed, God Hasn’t Gone Anywhere

You are my peace and You have promised to never leave me nor forsake me, Therefore, my peace may be disturbed but it will respond when I call out, “Jesus.” Remind of this, Lord. Remind me that If I have no peace, You haven’t gone anywhere. I just need to stop and reset, be still and remember that You are God. You are for me and not against me. I am Your Beloved and You are mine.

In Jesus’s Name I pray,

Amen — let it be so
