So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. ~ Isaiah 41:10
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. ~ John 14:27
Cast all your anxiety and worry on him because he cares for you. ~ 1 Peter 5:7
Lord, I need Your peace — YOU are my peace. Please make Your presence known to me. In Your presence is unspeakable joy, resounding peace, and my worry melts away. In Your presence I am safe and secure — I am held by Your warm embrace and I can rest.
When We Are Overcome With Worry, God Hears and Responds
What a mighty God You are! You hung the stars in place. You tell the ocean how far it can come and on each new day, You make the sun burst through the darkness. What amazes me the most about You, though, is that when I am troubled and overcome by worry, You know and You respond.
You respond with Your tender love and wash me in Your grace.
Blessed be Your Name, O Lord. I worship You and offer You a sacrifice of praise in this storm. When I praise You, I sense Your nearness. My focus changes and I see Your lovely face. My troubles grow small in the light of Your abundant grace … and mercy … and watchcare.
Forgive me when I forget to offer You praise. Forgive me when I concentrate on my difficult places rather than on You. My peace is found in You.
My courage to face the future.
My hope to endure the trial.
All are found in You.
You have never failed me, Lord. Your faithfulness is beyond comprehension. With You, I can endure all things and come out on the other side victorious. You have made me more than a conqueror in ALL things.
And for that I am grateful.
I am grateful for You, Lord. How can I adequately express my love for You? You make me complete. You make my broken places whole. And when I worry You call to me out of my darkness and draw me to Yourself so that I may be comforted by Your love.
Set Us Free From Worry’s Grip, Lord
Take this worry, Lord, and set me free from its grip. Wash me anew. I ask for a fresh anointing of strength and purpose and awareness of You. I ask for a fresh anointing of Your peace that passes all understanding and that stands strong in the face of such a brutal trial.
In You, I find my peace and my courage.
In You I need not fear the future.
In You I find my rest.
Bless You, Lord.
In Jesus’s Name I pray,
Amen
