Are you clinging desperately to the cross?

Are you clinging desperately to the cross?

Lord, You are God of the whole earth, the Holy One of Israel. You have provided for us a covenant of peace — perpetual. Never-ending. Never-waivering. Always available for Your child.

Thank You for Your perfect peace that manifests so beautifully in the midst of life’s perfect storms — those times we cling desperately to the Cross. Unemployment. Broken relationships. Prodigal children. Terminal illness. Tragedies. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but You have promised to deliver us out of them all.

And Lord, to me, even more amazing than the promise and reality of deliverance is the promise and reality of Your peace through it all. It rests upon our shoulders like a fleece blanket and wraps us in the awareness of Your presence. Your peace steadies our heart, captures our thoughts while bringing them before you, and reminds us of who You are.

You are a faithful God and You, Yourself are our peace. Bless You Lord.

I ask that You hold those close who are clinging desperately to the cross while fears and doubts threaten. Honor their desire to trust You regardless of circumstances, acknowledging that You are sovereign, choosing to walk by faith and not by sight.

Encourage them Lord. Let them feel the embrace of Your strong arms carrying them over the turbulent waters. Open their ears to hear Your heartbeat as You hold them close and lift them to safety. Awaken their hearts to Your great love that knows no bounds.

Thank You Lord. We praise You for You alone are worthy of our praise.

In Jesus’ Name I pray,

Please don’t carry your burdens alone. I would be honored to pray for you.
