What is the Perfect Gift to Meet Your Needs?
For me, especially right now, your grace sustains me. Maybe for someone else it is courage or peace or hope. Maybe it’s joy. All of these things are the perfect gift from You waiting to be unwrapped to meet a need.
But it’s up to us to unwrap them.
If God is For Me, Who Can Dare to Be Against Me?
I realized that I was the one Isaiah was referring to: I love the Lord, I do my best to walk in obedience to Him, and yet I find myself walking in darkness at times, living with a very dim heart. God, through Isaiah, exhorted me to rely upon His Name — that which speaks to the very essence of who He is.
Where is God When I Need to Know the Truth?
Ashes lay scattered all about me. Disappointments taunt and accuse me. Confusion swirls while Your perfect peace knocks at my door. Help me reach out and take Your peace once again. You are a God of peace, not of confusion. You promise to bring beauty from my ashes as I offer my pain to You. Thank You Lord. I’m trusting You to do just that because You are Truth and You are good.
Grace Unleashed
Do I live my life with arms outstretched and heart thrust forward for those around me who need to know the Savior’s love and grace? Am I willing to lay down my life — my wants, my desires, and my dreams — because the Lord God of heaven and earth has asked me to?
Some days I struggle.
Where is God in My Burden?
I lift up others who are burdened and heavy-laden. I know Your heart is already turned toward them for You promise that Your eyes roam to and fro upon the earth seeking those who need to be strengthened. How sweet is that? The thought of You searching out Your hurting child blesses me beyond words.

You use everything in our life as we yield to You. Even those things that are dead or ineffecient that You cause to fall away, can be used for Your glory as we listen for Your guidance. Yes, Lord. You are faithful. You are that sure place. Our constant. We can depend on Your unfailing love. Help us find joy in Your Presence regardless of our circumstances, because Your joy is our strength. We need Your strength. We need Your peace. Help us live in the moment because You are in the moment with us.
Could the Fruit of God’s Presence Be Praise? The Story of the Maple Tree
Do I realize that God’s glory comes from within and isn’t contingent on my circumstances? The maple tree must know this because it is rejoicing with magnificent color, even though winter is coming. Do I walk in the knowledge that my life can give praise simply for who He is in the face of barren, bleak circumstances?

Where is God in the Confusion Facing America?
I ask that You give us discernment between evil and good, truth and falsehood. I ask that You replace our fear with courage, our confusion with peace, for You are not a god of confusion, but a God of peace. I’m so thankful for that.
Together, we bring America before Your throne of grace and plead for mercy for a land that once shouted Your Name to the world and now hides behind political correctness. Forgive us Lord. Forgive us for not becoming angry sooner and making our voices heard.
