“Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always].” ~Colossians 3:15, AMP
“You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.” ~ Isaiah 26:3, NKJV
Teach Me to Let Peace Rule in My Heart
Lord, Your Holy Spirit within me has planted the seed of Your peace deep in the recesses of my heart. It’s there. But I must LET peace rule in my heart — You don’t force it on me.
Let. That’s a big word contained in just three letters.

It tells me that I have a choice — to let peace rule in my heart … or not. It’s up to me.
The chaos and clutter tends to shove Your peace to the side and insist on their own way of rule. But YOU are my peace.
How dare the free-for-all try to drown Your light, and keep me in a state of chaos!
Teach me to LET peace rule in my heart, to open the door and release it, to steady my heart, to focus my eyes on You. Teach me to keep my mind stayed on You.
I choose You, Lord.
I choose Your ways.
I confess to You anything within my heart that is not of You — anything displeasing to You, anything that seeks to be an idol in my heart.
God Exchanges My Chaos With His Peace
As I pour out the chaos and clutter, fill me anew with the power of Your Holy Spirit. I appreciate Your authority. I appreciate Your tender watch-care over me. You are the keeper of my soul — my heart’s desire. Transform me through the renewing of my mind as I learn to let peace rule in my heart — Your peace.
Always.
In the Name of Jesus I pray,
Amen
