Lord, let others see Your face in the life I live

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to Himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to Him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And He gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, ‘Come back to God!’” ~ 2 Corinthians 5:17-20, NLT

“Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, ‘I know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.” ~ 1 John 2:3-6, NKJV

“But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image.” ~ 2 Corinthians 3:16-18, NLT

Oh, that others might see Your face in me, Lord

Lord, I desire to be a vessel of honor for the glory of Your Name. Fill me with Your fire, Your grace … Your love so that others might see Your face in the life I live. I want to be more and more like You in every way, but I fail miserably at times. Please forgive me, Lord. I must decrease so that You may increase in my life.

My soul longs for You, Lord. I want others to see Your face in the life I live.

My soul longs for You. To sit in Your presence is such a beautiful privilege — a gift beyond words. In Your presence is where You fill me, comfort me, and quiet me with Your love. In Your presence, I open my heart to You, and You transform me into Your glorious image.

I am a Christ-bearer.

Help me walk in a manner worthy of Your Name.

Let Your voice be heard, and Your face be seen in the words I speak

Purify my heart, Lord, so that I will be a clean vessel before You, ready to receive all You want to pour into me. My mouth is open — fill it, as You have promised. Hide Your Word in my heart so that it becomes a good word spoken in due season to ease the despair in others.

Let others see Your face, Lord, in the life that I live

Let others see Your face by the life I live. Let Your voice be heard in the words of grace I speak — may I be a bearer of Your light in this darkened world. I reach out my hand to You, and ask that You take hold and lead me on. Step by step, I will walk with You. I am overwhelmed by Your love.

Be found in me, Lord. Be glorified in my life.

In Jesus’s Name I pray,

Amen — let it be so
