Will You Open My Ears Lord?
Lord, You never slumber, nor sleep. And I’ve learned that Your eyes roam to and fro across the earth seeking after those who love You and need to be encouraged. I know You’re trying to comfort me, to lead me, to give me peace, but I can’t hear You. Open my ears Lord, there’s too much noise distracting me.
I am amazed how You pursue Your children with Your love.
You seek after us in our difficult places, faithfully desiring to speak Your truth to us to offset the lies of the enemy.
I know this to be true, for I have experienced Your relentless love time after time, and I am always amazed.
And so grateful.
Help me shut out the noise, Lord. Call to me to come and be still before You. Call to me, and I will come.
In the stillness, open my ears to hear You clearly. Awaken my heart to recognize the sound of Your voice. Embolden me to say no to the distractions and disruptions and the flaming arrows of the enemy that seek to confuse me.
You are not a god of confusion — You are a God of peace. Lead me by Your peace. I know the sound of Your voice — open my ears Lord, so I can hear You clearly. Your truth will guide me through the murky waters of this world.
I Want to Follow Hard After You
Open my ears to hear Your truth — show me the way and I will walk in it. I want to follow hard after You.
