When faced with many difficulties and are crushed in spirit, let faith arise.

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,
And delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as are crushed in spirit.

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all.” ~ Psalm 34:17-19, NKJV

Are You Feeling Crushed in Spirit?

Lord, You are the Sovereign God. You reign victorious over all the earth. You are steadfast. Faithful. True. You are mine and I am Yours. Please help me walk in these truths when I am crushed in spirit and overwhelmed with despair.

You promise to draw near to those who are crushed in spirit. Open our eyes that we might see You. Awaken our hearts to recognize Your Presence. Let faith arise in us.

God rescues those that are crushed in spirit.

When all we sense is darkness, let us see the Light.

When fear of the unknown sneers at us from the shadows, let us speak boldly, “I will fear not, for the Lord my God is with me!”

When depression and discouragement beckon to us, remind us who we are.

Nothing can separate us from Your love. Your covenant with us will never be broken. Your plans for us are good — to give us a future and a hope.

And You are with us always.

So why am I so downcast, O my soul? I will trust in You, Lord, I will rest in Your love.

When I Am Crushed in Spirit, He Will Rescue Me

And on those days when despair tries to triumph and anxiety begins its assault, I will speak Your truth.

You know me. You understand me. And when I am crushed in spirit, You will rescue me and fill me with Your hope.

Thank You, Lord.

In Jesus’s Name I pray,

Amen … let it be so
