Grace, Lord … Your grace. So undeserved and yet even in my messiest of places Your grace abounds. Your presence comforts me. Your hand provides for me. Your shield protects me. Blessed are You, O Lord.
Help me never take You for granted. Help me walk in awareness of not only Your abiding presence, but awareness of Your constant grace. Let the grace I have received give me courage to stand in the face of my enemies with confidence and bravado.
I don’t deserve Your grace — none of us do, but I thank You for it. It seems to ooze from Your fingertips as You extend Your hand to me, especially in my time of need. I know that Your great love is the riverbed where grace flows. Awaken the eyes of my heart to understand this fully — to understand there is a river flowing from Your throne and to access it, we must approach your throne, that incredible emblem of grace.
Wow! That’s deep Lord, but I believe it is truth — the kind of truth that sets us free.
Seal this truth within us: that Your grace is always available, but we must approach You to obtain it. What a beautiful image I see in my mind’s eye. I can see Your joy as we come before You, knowing that You love us and desire to supply our need. I see Your strong arm reaching out, motioning us to come closer, to drink of Your goodness and receive the blessing of Your grace.
You are good, Lord. Indeed, You are a good, good Father on whom we can depend. I”m so thankful. We love You, Lord.
In Jesus’ Name I pray,
Amen

Have you had a chance to read Faith Notes ~ Maureen Hager: Biker Gangs, Bullet Wounds, and God’s Redeeming Love?
My guest this week on Faith Notes is Maureen Hager who happens to be one of my Christian Communicator sisters. I love having the opportunity to share her with you. My goodness, what a testimony! Because of life’s hardships, Maureen found herself seeking refuge and companionship in a biker gang. As a young woman desperately in need of Jesus, but seemingly running as far away from Him as possible, God saw and drew her to Himself. Isn’t His mercy incredible? God used the tragedy of massive gunshot wounds to reveal His love to Maureen and now she lives to tell of His glory and faithfulness. I’m sure the words of her heart will touch you.
HOW ABOUT YOU? DO YOU HAVE A STORY TO SHARE?
If you would like to share your testimony of finding the nearness of God in your darkest moments, please contact me at nan@nanjones.com. I want to feature folks from all walks of life. You don’t have to be a writer. I can edit your story for you. God is glorified when we use our pain to help others find comfort in Him.
