“From His abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.” John 1:16-17, NLT
Lord, You are the God of peace, not the god of confusion — not the god of chaos. You are not the author of thoughts that run amuck and create their own three-ring circus.
No, You are the God of peace and Your grace flows freely from Your hand.
Your grace is sufficient for all my needs.
And I need it right now. I know it’s available, but I need You to help me grasp hold.
I feel like I might go crazy from these burdens. I know. I know I’m not supposed to carry them, but somehow, every day, they end up on my shoulders. I realize that is by my own choosing — not Yours — but nevertheless, that’s what happens.
And then I start to crumble beneath the weight. And then I feel fearful and full of doubt, unworthy of Your love. And then I need Your grace to crawl out from beneath the boulder sitting on my chest and I need Your forgiveness for jerking the burdens from You to begin with.
Oh wretched woman that I am! Why do I do this?
Your grace is how I can survive this difficult time. Your grace sustains me like manna in a dry and barren land. Your grace strengthens me and reminds me I am not alone.

Your grace really is amazing. Thank You for giving it so freely.
Rain down on me, Lord. I want to dance with joy in the refreshing shower of Your grace. Wash over me. Renew me. Your love is all I need. Your Presence is more precious than gold.
And in Your Presence there is grace.
I worship You, Lord. Blessed by Your Name.
In Jesus’ Name I pray,
Amen
