“so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being … ” ~ Acts 17:27-28, NKJV
“By your words I can see where I’m going;
they throw a beam of light on my dark path.
I’ve committed myself and I’ll never turn back
from living by Your righteous order.” ~ Psalm 119:105-106, MSG
Groping in the Dark … God, are You There?
Lord, You are my light and my salvation, my shield, the Rock upon which I stand. When I stand on the Rock with You, I get a glimpse of the plans You have for me, the hope of needed miracles for health and circumstances of my loved ones. And I am comforted.
But when I climb down from that Rock by my own accord, I find myself groping in the dark, unable to see a future of hope. I find myself, my thoughts, shrouded in darkness and I no longer see clearly … by faith.

In that dark place of doubt and fear, would You remind me that You are there? I need only to reach out, to grope for You in the difficult place and I will find You have been there all along.
You are never far from us, for it is in You that we live, and move, and have our being. In You. Glory!
You have given us Your Word to light our ways, to lead us in paths of righteousness. Stir a hunger in me to know Your Word, to devour the life within its pages, to hide it in my heart.
Remind me to open Your Word and use it as a flashlight to light the darkness, to point to You when I’m groping in the dark and difficult places, desperate for Your touch.
When I Grope in the Dark, I Find You are There
You are a faithful God, full of compassion and grace. Your love knows no bounds. You are for me, not against me. You are with me always. I am so thankful … so, so thankful. Words cannot express my gratitude. I love you, Lord.
In Jesus’s Name I pray,
Amen
