I have placed my hope in You, Lord
Father, You are mighty in power, doing wonders — You are sovereign over all the earth. And yet, You love me. You watch over me … You are a very present help in trouble.
Thank You, Lord.
I have placed my hope in You because You have proven Your faithfulness to me repeatedly. I know I can trust You. I know I can depend on You to be my helper. And I know Your love will never fail me.
You are the Keeper of my soul.
In this season of life in which I’m living, I often feel overwhelmed and I battle anxiety. The condition of the world doesn’t help. It’s hard to fathom the level of depravity I see — it’s unreal! I can only imagine how it must break Your heart. Have mercy on us, Lord. Please forgive us where we have failed You.
As the darkness gets darker, Your light grows brighter. I want to help carry Your light into this lost and hurting world. Empower me by Your Holy Spirit to be about Your business, to be a conduit of Your love and saving grace.
I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see Your goodness in the land of the living. I look expectantly for Your goodness, for You are here with me — You are here with Your people.
Knowing You are a very present help in trouble comforts me, Lord
You tell me to wait on You, to wait in faith. That’s what I will do, Lord … I will wait on You and be of good courage because I know that I know You are a very present help in trouble. Strengthen my heart, Lord. Uphold me by Your righteous right hand.
